The only thing I can think of is: I wanna do this again!

I made it. I went to the final stretch of the competition. As I’ve explained in my previous entry, I had doubts in joining the finals. But I convinced myself that I didn’t go that far just to quit in the end, so there was definitely no turning back. Now that the competition is over the only thing I can think of is: I wanna do this again!

The start was a little stressful. It being my first competition, and seeing all these super fit athletes was certainly intimidating. However, after the first WOD, I was surprised on how much I enjoyed it and I was already eager to go and do the next one. (Just to give you an idea, I included the 4 workouts we did for Scaled Division at the end of this post.)

Joining made me realise a few things. First, the supportive community aspect is amazing. Part of the reason why it was so much fun is because of the people cheering for us.

The workouts during the competition were all high intensity but very different. I really do like the multi-discipline regime of this sport: powerlifting, gymnastics, cardio; strength and stamina.

It has inspired me to get stronger. There are still many movements I cannot complete and heavy weights I cannot lift. I’ll continue training hard and smart to improve on these.

Thank you to all who came and screamed their lungs out to encourage us. Mad Minute peeps, you guys are gold. Pao, Yang, Jeff, thank you!

And last, I wouldn’t have joined this competition if I didn’t venture outside of my comfort zone. So thank you to coach RJ for pushing me to step out of it.

Thank you to WOD chaser for these photos! :)
